How Do I Install the EM Pressure Sensor on My Espresso Machine?


Installing the EM (Espresso Monitor Pressure Sensor) is straightforward — as long as your machine has a compatible pressure port. Follow the guide below based on your machine’s thread type.

Installation Steps

G1/8

None

  1. Remove the original pressure gauge.

  2. Screw the EM sensor directly into the port.

  3. Lightly tighten and check sealing.

M6

Included (G1/8 → M6)

1. Remove the original gauge and install the M6 adapter.
2. Screw the EM sensor into the adapter, lightly tighten, and check sealing.

Other (non-G1/8/M6)

Must purchase separately

1. Remove the original gauge and install a compatible adapter.
2. Screw the EM sensor in and ensure proper sealing.

The EM connector thread is G1/8. A G1/8 to M6 adapter is included in the box.

⚠️ Important Safety Notes

  • Always ensure connections are properly sealed to prevent leaks.

  • Do not over-tighten the sensor.

  • When connecting EM to a group head operating above 100°C, an adapter must be used to reduce heat transfer and keep EM within its operating temperature range (0–80°C).
